Impressions of three topics:
- Not bad. The place I sat was too close to the stage, that I have to lift my head throughout the session. Classmates next to me were actively engaged in fishing. That is understandable when they slept lately and woke up early.
- Okay. We sat near the back of the hall, I didn't have to lift my head now. Emphasized too much on pictures. 'Uncommon' English tones amused my classmates. Would be better if the contents were more in-depth.
- Best among three. Contents quite close to the exam format (I must admit I am rather result-oriented). Have jotted down quite a number of useful points (partly because the handout given for this session has fewer contents than the others). But the talk has overrun. Everyone wants to leave punctually, right?
After the event I felt too tired to concentrate on other things. But I heard some Biology teachers comments the professors 'eager to talk a lot about their research projects' and 'not willing to stop'.
